STARBUCK COFFEE ALL ABOUT
What is Starbucks Coffee All About?
By Mike RamiddenWhen you walk through the door at a Starbucks, the first thing you are likely to see is the crowd of people reading the paper or chatting with friends while lingering over a cafe mocha. Then, when you look a little further, you will see the smiling face of the barista ready to take your order and tempt you with some of their mouth watering pastries. All of this is done while you are breathing in that wonderful aroma of Starbucks coffees and you hope that the memory will last until your next visit.
Is the recognition from purely branding that makes them rank right up there with other popular brands such as Coca Cola and McDonalds? Or, is it due to the number of locations worldwide making it bound to be recognized through advertising? Or, is a Starbucks coffee just that good; a part of something special?
The concept began as a place where people could go and hang out with friends while enjoying one of the Starbucks coffees; a place that was not home or work but more like a "third place," as CEO Howard Schultz put it. The design of the coffee houses lends itself as a place where people can go for social interaction or even for some quite reading while enjoying a specialty, gourmet coffee. Many locations have a fairly well stocked game and reading shelf for you to enjoy while there.
Of course, Starbucks is all about this wonderful drink. From a coffee cup full of their special blend to lattes and espressos, Starbucks is synonymous with it and they take it very seriously. They started out as premium roasters of this wonderful drink and have held fast to their beginnings by serving only excellent brews. They recently underwent some changes and now discard any coffee that had been brewed for more than a half hour.
Starbucks have a commitment to provide excellent service and coffee, which is evident in how they run their business. At one time they served breakfast sandwiches but some people complained that the food smell overpowered the aroma of Starbucks coffees and made the establishment smell more like a diner than a coffee house.
They also ask their employees to avoid wearing any type of heavy perfume, as that may also interfere with the flavor and taste of the coffee. As well, they have designated their indoor spaces to be non-smoking areas so that again, nothing overpowers the great aroma of their coffee.

STARBUCK COFFEE OPEN
Starbucks Coffee
By Miodrag Trajkovic
You probably never heard of Starbucks before the 1990s, but the company has actually been around longer than that. Starbucks opened their first store way back in 1971 in Seattle. The name is nautical in nature. It was taken from Herman Melville's novel Moby Dick. Moby Dick is a classic about the whaling industry in the 19th century. It is a rather appropriate name, since the coffees that Starbucks served were imported from around the world.
Then in 1982, Howard Schultz joined the Starbucks organization and while he was on a trip to Italy, he discovered the popularity of the espresso bars and decided that the idea had potential for the Starbucks Company. The rest, as they say, is history.
During the 1990s, Starbucks spread out across the United States as well as into the rest of the coffee-drinking world and soon became a publicly traded company. Today there are more than 6,000 Starbucks stores in more than 30 countries around the world, and they haven't stopped expanding.
Starbucks now offers their ground coffee beans by mail order and it probably won't be long before you will be able to purchase t-shirts and mugs with the Starbucks logo by mail as well. These items are not yet available by mail order, but they likely will be in the near future.
You don't have to look far to find a Starbucks store. They seem to keep popping up everywhere. There's a good reason...or several good reasons. First, the Starbucks organization insists that diversity really is the spice of life. The organization also insists that the very highest of standards be applied to purchasing, roasting, and delivery of every single cup of coffee that is sold. It's a philosophy that works!

STARBUCKS COFFEE POPULAR AND FRESH
Starbucks Coffee - Popular, Fresh and Tasty
By Kenneth J. Dickson
Starbucks has been a favorite morning stop for millions of people since they opened their first store in 1971. Their famous coffees, frappes, espresso and other drinks start with high-quality coffee beans and other ingredients.
Recently, beginning in 2006, Starbucks decided to buy only coffee that has been grown organically using earth-friendly farming practices. Their coffee can be bought in their stores or in the coffee section of your local supermarket.
One of the favorites with coffee lovers everywhere is Starbucks' Breakfast Blend, a flavorful blend with a crisp taste to start the morning right. Out of all the flavors, roasts and blends, this one continues to be one of the most popular.
Starbucks features coffees from all over the world, each with its own unique flavor and aroma. Their Italian Roast, for example, is dark roasted with a slightly smoky, sweet flavor. Café Verona is a bold and rich coffee, a favorite of many people for after dinner enjoyment.
If you like more exotic flavors, you might try Starbucks' Peru Chanchamayo blend with its subtle, nutty undertones. Or you may want to try some of their limited offerings of seasonal coffees such as Mexico Chiapas; shade grown in the rich volcanic soil of the mountains of southern Mexico, it has a crisp and nutty taste, smooth and a bit sweet. Flavored with hints of chocolate and hazelnut, this coffee is a favorite that Starbucks' customers look forward to each year.
Starbucks' Asia/Pacific coffees are generally earthy, full-bodied and smooth. They include coffees from Sumatra, India, Bali and other tropical climates. Coffees from Africa boast floral aromas, exotic flavors and one can often taste a hint of fruit or wine in these beans. Latin American coffees have great variety from light and well rounded to smooth and refreshing.
Starbucks coffee has consistent good quality due to their stringent requirements and buying practices. It's no wonder this brand is so popular with coffee lovers!

HOW STARBUCKS COFFEE - HISTORY
How Starbucks Made Coffee History
Executive summary about Starbuck Coffee History By Adam P Archer
To sum it all up the Coffee Giant known as Starbucks Coffee, made a huge impact in all of our lives, from the way we drink our coffee, to the type of coffee we choose.
Lets take a step back in time:
At the beginning when the coffee giant first started out in Seattle in 1971, Starbucks coffee was just three friends with a passion for fresh gourmet coffee, Jerry Baldwin, Zev Siegl and Gordon Bowker. They opened a small shop and began selling fresh-roasted, gourmet coffee beans and brewing and roasting accessories.
By that time Starbucks coffee was the biggest roaster in Washington with six different stores. In 1981 the little coffee giant managed to get the attention of Howard Schultz, a plastics salesman that noticed the huge supply of plastic drip coffee thermoses they were buying from Hammarplast.
Starbucks Coffee 1982, history was marked forever when Baldwin hired the highly energetic Schultz as the new marketing developer. Schultz was amazed and amused with the vibrant coffee culture of Italy.
Schultz modified the Starbucks bare-breasted mermaid logo into a more socially acceptable figure, changed the name of Il Giornale to Starbucks and converted the six existing Starbucks coffee roasting shops into a more elegant, suitable coffee houses. Starbucks coffee history was just starting to take form.
