I have worked at Starbucks for over a year now and even though I love the company I know that not everyone loves their brewed coffee.
Sometimes people get the wrong impression because they only try one kind of our coffee and forget that we have at least 20 other kinds. My favorite Starbucks coffee is Verona, which is smooth and chocolatey. But, I've always liked a regular cup of coffee with cream and sugar from Dunkin Donuts. Can't really beat that. I've never brewed it at home though. A good brew to try at home would be from Barnies'. They have really good flavored coffees.
Some of my favorites from them are Santa's White Christmas, Cool Cafe Blues, and Sweetheart Blend. When in doubt, get anything BUT Folgers or Maxwell House. Both of those are pretty disgusting. And if you can, get whole bean coffee and grind it shortly before you brew. It makes for a fresher tasting coffee.
